Labyrinth IV - The Ely
There is something mysterious and beguiling about the labyrinth design which is probably why variations of the design can be found in virtually every civilisation from every continent. Many scholars believe the Celtic knot patterns to be derived from ancient labyrinth designs. It was certainly a favourite design element of both the ancient Roman and Greek civilisations, and was popular throughout medieval Europe and remains popular, worldwide, today.
We find labyrinths lend themselves particularly well to watch dial design and have produced a series of dials with our own designs based on past designs from around the world and across the ages.
Labyrinth IV is a reproduction of the floor labyrinth at the entrance to Ely cathedral in Cambridgeshire, England.
The dial shown is on brass, but your watch will contain a dial of solid 925 Sterling Silver, unless you specify differently via a message at checkout.
